Production Manager for Electrical Appliance Industry - Guangdong, China

We are currently supporting an European client to improve the productivity in their factory in Dongguan, which is mainly manual (hand) assembly work with more than 1000 workers. With our production specialists from our subsidiaries in Germany, Shanghai and Taiwan, we have successfully identified a large number of improvement potentials.

For the implementation of the improvement measures, we are looking for an experienced Production Manager located in Guangdong province who will be supported by our specialists to lead and manage the implementation in the client´s factory in Dongguan. This is a 3 years assignment with yearly review and continuous improvement process to be done every year. Depending on your ability, you may also take on one further production project and work 50-50 on two projects at the same time. This will ensure your further employment after the 3 years assignment.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the implementation of productivity improvement and cost saving measures.
  • Lead and motivate the client´s staff to achieve the goal. For the worst case, we have the full authorization from client to exchange staff who are not cooperating.
  • Steady review and development of the manufacturing techniques, the production and planning processes
  • Continually improve production efficiency and production process
  • Maintain regular communication with the client and APMC project manager in Europe
  • Monthly progress and status report to APMC.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor/Master degree in engineering, preferred in production or related fields
  • Hands-on experience in Lean Production, 5S, etc.
  • At least 5 years experience in managing assembly production of electrical appliance
  • Successful records and experience as Production Manager, Operations Manager, Plant Manager and/or Productivity Consultant or similar positions in manual (hand) assembly production with large number of workers and production lines, preferably with electrical appliance.
  • Preferably have worked in Taiwanese or European factories in China
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Head of Quality Management for Electrical Appliance - Guangdong, China

Our client is a leading European manufacturer of electrical appliance. To improve the global quality assurance, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced head of quality, which accompanies the development and monitoring of all quality processes, particularly in the manufacturing plant in China, and possibly also in India.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead quality management staff of manufacturing factories worldwide, in total around 200 people
  • Supervise and optimize the organization of quality management and environmental management according to ISO 9001: 2008 standards
  • Supervise and improve all quality guidelines and processes, particularly quality management of tools, molds and products and materials
  • Responsible for quality assurance related processes and projects, as well as the quality inspection for the products from suppliers
  • Further development of testing procedures and the standards for quality assurance in the product development phase

market leader in this whole segment. The company is present across five continents and in more than 100

countries. In order to support the expansion plans of their Indian sales subsidiary, they are looking for a

hands-on and experienced management generalist who has solid knowledge in building up a company on a

broad basis. Experience in operational and strategic sales will also prove to be helpful. The candidate needs

to take part in a job training in the European HQs for several weeks.
